Apply now! PEIF is offering half price scholarships for educators attending PEI Professional Development Classes. These scholarships are intended to help classroom teachers expand their professional skills and knowledge in areas of ethics, classroom management, dyslexia, leadership, financial literacy, and STEM.
To apply for a scholarship, please submit a paragraph to info@peiowa.org describing the workshop you wish to attend and the direct benefits you expect this opportunity to bring to you and to your students.
Scholarship awards will be applied directly to the Professional Development class specified in the application (limit one per person per year).
As a Wilson® Partner, Apples of Gold Center for Learning is pleased to provide the Wilson Reading System® Introductory Course for educators, therapists, parents, and other individuals who are interested in providing intensive intervention for students (and adults) with persistent phonological coding deficits. For many years, Apples of Gold has utilized the Wilson Reading System® to provide high-quality, one-on-one, intensive structured literacy for individuals with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities.
Elizabeth Hoksbergen, EdS, is a Wilson® Credentialed Trainer.
Participants may enroll in the WRS Level I Certification Training or the online course WRS Intensive Instruction for the Non-Responsive Reader (Steps 1-6) within five years of completing a WRS Introductory Course.
Prerequisite: None
Each participant will receive one licensure renewal credit.
Graduate Credit: One graduate credit (optional) is available through Fitchburg State University, Fitchburg, MA upon completion of course requirements. Please see Process for Graduate Credit for details. Iowa licensure renewal credit also available.
