Seats are limited.  \nJoin Wilson® Credentialed Trainer Elizabeth Hoksbergen\, EdS for a three-day Wilson Reading System® (WRS) Introductory Course. This course provides an overview of the WRS 4th Edition curriculum and serves as the prerequisite for WRS Level I Certification\, allowing you to become a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. \nOffered by Apples of Gold Center for Learning\, this course is for educators\, therapists\, parents\, and anyone interested in providing intensive intervention for individuals with dyslexia or language-based learning disabilities. The Wilson Reading System® is an effective\, systematic program based on Orton-Gillingham principles\, designed to help individuals with persistent phonological coding deficits improve their literacy skills. \nCourse Overview\n\nDates: Three consecutive days (16.5 hours)\nContent: Phonemic awareness\, decoding\, word identification\, morphological awareness\, vocabulary\, fluency\, comprehension\,  spelling\, and handwriting.\nMethods: Learn to implement WRS through diagnostic-prescriptive\, explicit\, multisensory\, cumulative instruction techniques.\nOutcome: Understand how to create personalized lessons and deliver structured literacy effectively for students who struggle with reading and writing.\nCertification: Completion of this 3-day course is the prerequisite to pursue Level I Certification in the Wilson Reading System.\n\nUpon completion\, participants will be able to:\n \n\nDefine dyslexia and understand how to identify and place students in the WRS program.\nUse multisensory techniques for teaching reading\, spelling\, and comprehension.\nApply the WRS lesson plan and strategies for decoding\, morphology\, spelling\, fluency\, and comprehension.\n\nWilson Resets Your Child’s Trajectory for Literacy\, Learning\, and Life! \nEach participant will receive one licensure renewal credit.
