PEI Professional Educator of the Year Awards - One $1,000 Award

This award is made possible by the PEI Association to honor a current PEI Professional Member who is an exemplary educator. Administrators, colleagues, parents, or community members may submit nominations. Individuals may also nominate themselves. Requirements include:

  • All nominations must include a brief written explanation detailing why the nominee deserves to be recognized as PEI’s Professional Educator of the Year (500 words or less). The explanation should highlight the nominee’s exceptional contributions to education, their dedication to students, and their impact within the school or community. 
  • Two testimonial letters by students, parents, peers, or administrators

The $1,000 prize will be paid directly to the winner and will be presented publicly at an assembly or awards ceremony. The winner will also receive one free year of Membership with PEI at the Professional level.

Associate of the Year Award - One $500 Award

This award from the PEI Foundation for those individuals who have generously assisted in the classroom as an associate. Administrators, colleagues, parents, or community members may submit nominations. Individuals may also nominate themselves. Nominee does not need to be a PEI member. Requirements include:

  • All nominations must include a brief written explanation detailing why the nominee deserves to be recognized as the Associate of the Year. The explanation should highlight the nominee’s commitment, their love for students, and their impact within the school or community. 
  • Two testimonial letters from students, parents, peers, or administrators

The $500 prize will be paid directly to the winner and will be presented publicly at an assembly or awards ceremony. The winner will also receive one free year of Membership with PEI at the Support level.

Jodie Nation Award for Servant Leadership - One $1,000 Award

This Foundation award is designed to recognize an educator or administrator who serves with passion and humility, both in the classroom and outside of it. The recipient will be a valued and revered member of his/her school community, as evidenced by sacrificial service to the greater good. Administrators, colleagues, parents, or community members may submit nominations. Nominee does not need to be a PEI member. Requirements include:

  • All nominations must include a brief written explanation detailing why the nominee deserves to receive the Jodie Nation Award for Servant Leadership (500 words or less). The explanation should highlight the nominee’s servant leadership qualities. 
  • Two testimonial letters by students, parents, peers, or administrators

The $1,000 prize will be paid directly to the winner and will be presented publicly at an assembly or awards ceremony. The winner will also receive one free year of Membership with PEI at the Professional level.
